Fireforest

Fireforest tells the story of how proactive forest management helped firefighters stop a portion of Colorado’s largest wildfire from burning three communities. Created independently and in collaboration with three local nonprofits, the City of Fort Collins, and the US Forest Service, Fireforest demonstrated an important solution to destructive wildfires to help residents in Colorado and the American West understand forest restoration and fire more holistically.

Fireforest has been screened live 62 times by 44 nonprofits, cities, counties, businesses, film festivals, and government agencies in seven states to approximately 1,560 live attendees. Notable screenings include the United Nations’ North American Forest Commission, a US Forest Service all-staff webinar, the Wildfire Resilience Funders Network, the 2025 New Mexico Tribal Forestry Summit, the Rocky Mountain Restoration Initiative, the 2023 Colorado Wildland Fire Conference, and the 2024 Colorado Mass Timber Coalition Conference.
